nVision is Sample Answers’ platform for face-to-face interviewing via the web.  Market researchers and interviewers can engage respondents without compromising social distancing rules.

nVision is economic for quantitative projects in excess of 1000 interviews and can be scaled-down easily to meet the requirements of any qualitative projects.  It is perfect for interviews previously conducted by CAPI surveys (and, if required, using exactly the same CAPI software). It also  provides all the necessary tools to facilitate depth research and qualitative interviews.

Placing the respondent at the heart of the research process, it requires only a working internet connection.  Specifically, it is browser neutral and uses no 3rd party software or application, no hardware compatibility is required and there are no concerns around privacy and selling-on of interviewer and respondent data.

It features familiar qual-style tools such as whiteboards, marking-up of text or image files and the inclusion of multi-media for testing TV or radio spots.  For busy researchers, nVision offers the option of automatically recording every interview, providing clip-editing within a few minutes of the interview ending, ideal for talking heads and vox-pops.  Better still, the platform can be configured to provide a transcription of each interview, so you can focus on analysis and report writing.

Advantages of nVision

nVision was specifically designed to provide as close to a face to face interview as may be possible in these socially distant times. As with traditional face to face surveys it places the interviewer in control of engaging the respondent and gives to the respondent the benefit of seeing who they are talking to
.
A simple to use module enables the set-up of the required number of interviews, providing 3 ‘links’ – one each for the interviewer, the respondent and an observer (if required). Depending upon the selections made for the project, each link is configured to provide the exact requirement for the interview process.

nVision is perfect for interviews previously conducted by CAPI with no requirement for standalone devices or the infrastructure to manage such devices. Responses to questions are recorded by the interviewer using any online interviewing system (including our own nQuire software). nVision also provides all the necessary tools for depth research and qualitative interviews, featuring familiar qual-style tools such as whiteboards, marking-up of text or image files and the inclusion of multi-media for testing TV or radio spots. nVision offers the option of automatically recording every interview, providing clip-editing within a few minutes of the interview ending, ideal for talking heads and vox-pops. How does it work?

You tell Sample Answers how many interviews you require and the duration of the interview and we send you a trio of links for each interview: one providing the necessary interviewer permissions, one for the respondent and the third optionally for an observer  You then distribute those links to your interviewers together with all support materials.  Each interviewer then qualifies and recruits their respondents. Importantly, qualification includes obtaining the email address or mobile phone number of the respondent and confirmation that they have access to a camera and microphone.  The interviewer then contacts the respondent with the link to be used and confirming details of the interview, including the scheduled time.

Note 1: To satisfy GDPR requirements, when the respondent first uses the link they have to tick compliance boxes, confirming their agreement to the form of interview before proceeding.

Note 2 If the interview is recorded, Sample Answers only maintain recordings on file for up to 14 days from completion of the last interview.  Clients wishing to retain them for longer will need to download them and store them accordingly.
